Panel: There are 8 Permanent/CID teachers on the Main Panel. The Panel List has been emailed to schools that notified the Education Secretariat of permanent vacancies. When an appointment has been accepted by a teacher on the Panel, please complete the Panel Update Form and return it to the DES. In accordance with Circular 07/2012 primary schools must notify the Education Secretariat of any impending permanent and/or fixed-term vacancy within 5 working days of the vacancy becoming known to the Chairperson or Principal.

This module is particularly suited for newly appointed members of Boards of Management. Principals and Chairpersons who attended the training module - Boards of Management, a Framework for Good Practice in January or early February need not attend.

Art Competition - Eucharistic Congress:  Pupils from 2nd - 6th class in primary schools are invited to participate in an art competition on the Congress theme,The Eucharist – Communion with Christ and with One AnotherDetails of the competition have been sent to schools and parishes.

Eucharistic Congress: Log on to www.iec2012.ie. Under Pastoral Preparation, School Resources you will find a wide range of resources for primary and post-primary schools. You might like to download Prayer Services for the Eucharistic Congress. Trócaire has designed a handout incorporating the topics of global justice and the Eucharist as an introduction to the IEC.

School Tours to the Eucharistic Congress: A schools/children's programme is being planned as part of the Congress. Classes, and in particular this year's First Communion Classes, are invited to visit the RDS to participate in a programme of activities on the themes of the Congress. Further details on http://www.iec2012.ie/index.jsp?p=108&n=4660
